Why choose offices in Weymouth?
With an economy based around its harbour and tourist attractions, Weymouth is both a sheltered bay and an easily accessible town just seven miles south of Dorchester. It is also home to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and hosted the sailing events at the 2012 Olympics.
Tourism is the largest industry, extending out to the nearby Isle of Portland, with the marina hosting many pleasure boats alongside the town’s large fishing fleet. Both fishing and diving are popular, with Weymouth being at the heart of the ‘Jurassic Coast’ – an important geological area recognised as a World Heritage Site.
Weymouth station offers a direct train link to central London in just less than three hours, while the M27/M3 will have you in the capital in about the same time. Bournemouth is an hour away, while Exeter and Southampton (with its international airport) are about an hour-and-a-half by road or rail. Weymouth also offers direct ferry links to Jersey and Guernsey.
