Just across the river is London Bridge station, which is a 10-minute journey to King’s Cross & St Pancras International on the Northern Line of the London Underground. Mainline rail services run to Dartford (a 40-minute journey), Tunbridge Wells (50 minutes), West Croydon (25 minutes) and Brighton (just over an hour). Just around the corner is Tower Gateway on the DLR, allowing a 15-minute journey to Canary Wharf and 30 minutes to Stratford International, while nearby Fenchurch Street has services to Southend, an hour-and-a-quarter away.
By road, Tower Hill is on the A100, which connects to the A2 and A20 to the south, the A11 to the north and the A13 to the east. J30 of the M25 is a 30-minute drive, while the start of the M11 is 25 minutes away by car.
Aside from the usual tourist attractions, Tower Hill is close to the Whitechapel Gallery and the Wilton’s Music Hall arts centre. The former Victorian fish market of Old Billingsgate is a minute’s walk fro Tower Hill and now offers a hospitality complex for launches and events. A unique shopping experience is just up the road in the covered Leadenhall Market, which dates from the 14th century.
