Office space in SW14
Is your idea of the perfect office rental one within easy reach of a riverside pub where you can watch the result of the famous Boat Race? Or an office on the doorstep of London’s biggest deer park? Then SW14 could be the ideal location. Welcome to Office Genie’s guide to offices to rent in London SW14.
Why rent offices in SW14?
SW14 is the London postal area stretching between the River Thames and Richmond Park, the largest of London’s parks. The area is crossed at its north-east corner by the A316, which gives access to the M3 7.5 miles away (15 mins drive). J1 of the M4 is even closer, being just two miles north.
SW14 contains the riverside districts of Mortlake and East Sheen. It is served by Mortlake rail station, which is the closest station to the finish of the famous Oxford vs Cambridge University Boat Race. Eight trains an hour run to London Waterloo – four direct via Clapham Junction, two via Richmond, Kingston and Wimbledon and two more via Richmond and Hounslow. The journey time to Waterloo is 25 minutes. Just to the east lie Barnes and Barnes Bridge station, also on the line to Waterloo.
Historically, Mortlake was famous for brewing, and you can still see the landmark Mortlake Brewery, or Stag Brewery, on the edge of Mortlake. East Sheen is suburban, with riverside views and a long shopping high street that serves as the economic hub for the area. Famous residents include Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web.
The National Tennis Centre just on the eastern border of SW14, while just beyond is the University of Roehampton. The area is also handy for Kew Gardens.
