Office space in Streatham Hill
Seeking easy access to central London without the sky high property rental prices? Put Streatham Hill on your list! With excellent transport links and a forward-looking reputation, the Streatham Hill area has much to offer businesses – start-ups and established companies alike.
Why choose offices in Streatham Hill?
Streatham Hill is in fact a railway station in the London district of Streatham. It is one of three stations serving the area (the others are Streatham and Streatham Common), through which there is quick access to Victoria and London Bridge, as well as St Albans and Luton via the Thameslink line.
This is one of the key advantages of Streatham – it’s extremely well-connected to central London. Perhaps surprisingly the district doesn’t have a tube station, but it is just a short bus journey to Brixton (on the Victoria line), or by train to Balham (Northern line). Streatham is also well served by bus with routes to destinations including Croydon, Elephant & Castle and Liverpool Street.
The name Streatham Hill is also used to refer to a key road running through the area, forming part of the A23 between London and Brighton. The A23 then becomes Streatham High Road, which is reputedly the longest shopping street in the UK and the site of the country’s first supermarket. It has become known as the West End of the south and also features the beautiful Streatham Common at its southern end.
Despite these significant selling points, property prices in Streatham represent value for money. Average prices are almost half those of nearby Balham and Clapham, perhaps due to the lack of tube. But Streatham is so well served. Its high street alone features over 400 businesses and is an eclectic and vibrant town. It is home to hundreds of chains as well as local businesses, including Streatham Property Services and Streatham Electronics.
Office space options in Streatham Hill
Traditionally, businesses looking for premises would take out a lease on an unfurnished property – a cheap option that is still very much available. But there are other options available too so you can meet your needs closely. For example, there are fully-furnished and serviced offices to rent, which remove the responsibility for maintenance from your shoulders. And there is deskspace for rent within shared offices, which is flexible and perfect if you’re a very small company.
You can start your Office Genie search on this very page. If for any reason that ideal premises doesn’t crop up immediately, you could consider looking further afield, to nearby towns such as Richmond or Wembley. Or just check back soon – we’re constantly updating our lists.
