Why choose offices in SE5?

The SE5 postcode area is largely made up of the Camberwell District, which covers Camberwell, Denmark Hill and parts of Peckham and Brixton. These are all well-known London locations and, as such, it is not cheap to rent in the area. However, it is notably less expensive than some nearby trendy areas such as Shoreditch.

SE5 as a whole has an arty edge, which attracts both young professionals and families. There are several well-known art galleries and the area’s fine, Georgian houses are popular with actors, writers and lawyers.

Because of its mix of offerings, some people find SE5 a little tough to categorise. Regardless, it has many strengths, including its location. Camberwell is just four miles from Central London, and access to the City and the East End has been even further improved with the arrival of the Overground at Denmark Hill station. This station and the numerous buses that pass Camberwell Green (15 routes) are the area’s lifeline; journey time into Central London is less than 10 minutes by rail and 20-30 minutes by road, making SE5 ideal for commuting.

The area is connected to the city by Camberwell Road, a conservation area but main connecting road, and Camberwell New Road, which runs from Camberwell to Kennington.
