As you’d expect from its SE8 postcode area, Deptford has excellent transport links to other key areas of London. Deptford railway station is on the North Kent Line. Typically, off-peak services from the station run six times per hour to London Cannon Street and two times per hour to Slade Green, Barnehurst and Dartford. Additionally, during peak hours some services start or continue to Charing Cross with all services post 9pm and on Sundays going to Charing Cross. Nearby New Cross Gate railway station is also has services to Highbury and Islington, Crystal Palace and West Croydon.
The two main road routes through Deptford are the A200, which runs from London Bridge to Greenwich, and the A2, which connects London with the port of Dover in Kent.
