Why rent offices in Chichester?
Visitors to the south coast will know all about Chichester’s secondhand bookshops, cathedral, and walks on the nearby South Downs. A few miles up the road there’s Goodwood too, for thoroughbred horses, vintage motors and the odd Spitfire. There are several marinas in the area, which attract the yachting types, and there’s plenty going on. Arts and sciences alike are catered for by the four-week arts and music Festival of Chichester in June and July and the South Downs Planetarium and Science Centre.
A transport hub? Yes, indeed. The town lies just above the A27 connecting Eastbourne to Southampton, with the A3 to London just 12 miles away in Havant. From there you can pick up the M275 to Portsmouth and the M27 to Southampton. Chichester railway station is on the West Coastway Line with regular services to Brighton (50 minutes) and London Victoria (1.5 hours). Travel to Gatwick Airport or Southampton takes less than an 1 hour and Portsmouth is a mere 20-30 minutes away. There are plenty of bus services too, with Chichester bus station acting as a local hub.
Tourism may be important here, but there’s also the new 20-acre Chichester Business Park located just off the A27 on the east side of the town. Help available for local businesses includes networking events and assistance in sourcing funding via the Chichester Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and there’s a business incubation package available through Chichester University.
